We are hiring – contact us if you might be a Rainmaker

It’s exciting to see the economy come back and companies start to add new jobs – even the usually glum media like CNN is starting to report a coming hiring boom here.

Here at FirstRain we have a number of open positions in very interesting areas. Our openings are both in San Mateo, California and in Gurgaon, India. We are looking for smart, hungry talent. Open positions January 2011:

  • Inside sales representatives (several in San Mateo) – self starters with 2-3 years experience in SaaS inside sales and a proven track record of achieving monthly, quarterly and yearly pipeline and forecast targets. Lead qualification experience is a plus.
  • Product manager (San Mateo) – go getter with experience in web-based products. Seeking a candidate who can work intensely between the field, marketing and engineering functions and can represent customer needs in a pragmatic yet
    creative way.
  • User experience lead designer (San Mateo) – seeking talent in information experience, workflow development and multiple content channels as well as excellent visual design skills. Proven track record in user experience design for modern information
    applications required.
  • Mobile applications expert (San Mateo) – consultant or full time employee with expertise in mobile application and
    development techniques.
  • Snr software developers (several in Gurgaon) – experienced in Java, familiar with object-oriented concepts—2+ years of experience with modern web based application development.

FirstRain is sponsoring the new Grace Hopper Conference India in Bangalore Dec 7-9 this year. GHC has been held in the US for many years but this is the first time we (the Anita Borg Institute of which I am a board member) is organizing an international conference and I am delighted it is going to be in India since FirstRain has a develpment operation in Gurgaon, India.

And we are hiring – so if you are a software engineer going to the conference seek out our Director of Analytics Aparna Gupta! We are looking for bright engineers with expertize in either applications and algorithms to help us continue to develop our ground breaking search and analytics platform.
